Our trip to Brisbane was my first trip outside the state of New South Wales. Being on a student budget, Kim and I always made sure we spent only for the things that really mattered— and only if it fits the budget. On Valentines however, we felt that it was about time we treated ourselves and spend a few days off before the semesters starts again.
Luck was on our side as we met a couple of the most generous Filipinos in Queensland we'll ever know— Jay, Rosh and their family. Not only did they let us stay in their home for several days, but they also took us around making sure we didn't spend a single penny while we're with them. To top it all off, they also drove us to Sunshine Coast (3 hours away from Brisbane), stopping at iconic places along the way.
With only a night and a full day at Sunshine Coast, we decided to spend it in Mooloolaba Beach.
Having only a few restaurants to choose from, we decided it was going to be Thai for dinner
We only had several hours to spend before taking the last bus and train back to Brisbane, so we enjoyed it the best way we can: SURFING! ... I wish... we just swam.
With such an amazing weather and view, no one can resist having coffee and breakfast beside the beach here in Sunshine Coast.
