Providing solar powered lamps to far-flung communities in Gabaldon

As part of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf's many social initiatives, 30 volunteers went out to visit one of the villages of the tribes in Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija. Like many tribes living in far-flung villages in the Philippines, the Dumagat Tribe endure the inconvenience of having no electricity. With gas lamps, candles and tinder being used as the primary source of light at night, the villages' safety is often at risk. The group's objective was to hand out solar-powered electric lamps from Liter of Light to help improve the situation of the locals. Due to the increasing numbers of NPAs in the area, the group was escorted by the military.
